PURPOSE
To enable customers and Simetry field personnel to complete a self-installation of a Standard Actuated system.
- Download the Starlink App: Scan the QR code.

- Find a clear view of the sky:
- Open the App and follow the prompts to allow App to use your phone’s location and Camera. In the App, use the “Check for Obstructions” tool to find an install location with minimal obstructions that will deliver the best service. For best results, Starlink should be install on a flat surface. If you are unable to download the App, find a location outdoor that is flat and has minimal obstructions to view the sky:

- Unbox and Setup System:
- Simetry package includes a 150’ antenna cable. Unbox all the contents and keep the packing for return shipment when your rental is complete. Leaving the “Router” end inside your building, run the 150’ antenna cable outdoor through a penetration or window to the location where the Starlink dish will be placed. Plug the “Antenna” end into bottom of the Starlink Dish arm. Insert the dish arm into the 1) metal base, or 2) top of the rugged case (if provided) until you hear it lock into place. Return indoor and connect both the power cable and antenna cable to the Starlink router. Plug the Starlink power cable into a 110vAC outlet.


- Starlink will automatically level itself to search for satellites overhead.
- Do NOT attempt to manually adjust your Starlink dish.
- After a 5-10 minutes, Starlink will make an initial connection to the Starlink constellation and tilt to the optimum angle for satellite coverage (slightly north) as seen below on the right.

- Simetry package includes a 150’ antenna cable. Unbox all the contents and keep the packing for return shipment when your rental is complete. Leaving the “Router” end inside your building, run the 150’ antenna cable outdoor through a penetration or window to the location where the Starlink dish will be placed. Plug the “Antenna” end into bottom of the Starlink Dish arm. Insert the dish arm into the 1) metal base, or 2) top of the rugged case (if provided) until you hear it lock into place. Return indoor and connect both the power cable and antenna cable to the Starlink router. Plug the Starlink power cable into a 110vAC outlet.
- Connect to WiFi
- On your device, find and connect to the WiFi network that is listed on your laminated WiFi information card located in the provided kit. As long as the Starlink dish has minimal obstructions, you are now connected to the internet!
- Can’t get online?
- Use the Starlink app to check if the dish has high level of obstruction. If yes, move the dish until obstruction improve or you get connected.
- Make sure the cables are securely plugged in and there’s no damage or kinks.
- Power cycle the Starlink by unplugging it, plugging it back in, then start at step 4.
- If you are still unable to connect to the internet, locate the system asset # and contact Simetry’s 24/7 helpdesk for further guidance:

- When finished with the rental: Stow, Unplug, and Box up the system in the provided packaging:
- Open the Starlink App and navigate to Settings > Starlink, then drag the slider to “Stow Starlink”. If you do not have access to the App, you can manually stow the Starlink:
- Make sure Starlink is plugged in and powered on, take Starlink dish out of the base and place it face down on a flat surface. After about a minute, the Starlink will automatically tilt into the Stow position as seen above. Unplug and package the system for return shipment back to Simetry.
- Open the Starlink App and navigate to Settings > Starlink, then drag the slider to “Stow Starlink”. If you do not have access to the App, you can manually stow the Starlink:
