What is eSIM on iPad?
An eSIM is an industry-standard digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan from your carrier without having to use a physical SIM. You can install eight or more eSIMs on an iPad and use two phone numbers at the same time.
Requesting an eSIM activation
SIMETRY will need the following information to process your eSIM activation request:
- The iPad model.
- IMEI 1 and/or IMEI 2 for your iPad.
- The eID and serial number of your iPad.
(Go to Settings > General > About and look for any numbers under EID)
- The agent that the iPad has been assigned to.
- Confirmation that the physical sim slot isempty.
- Once activation is complete, the agent must download and install the eSIM profile within 30 days.
Once this information has been recorded in our shared with SIMETRY by Opendoor, the agent will receive a set of AT&T and T-Mobile eSIM profile QR Codes.
Please feel free to contact SIMETRY Support or your account manager for any questions or issues that may arise.
*Once activation has been confirmed by SIMETRY, set up the eSIM profiles on the iPad. It is best.
to download each profile individually and wait for them to be completed before beginning the next.
